And with this, I say farewell to Yola.com. While I'm grateful they have hosted my site these past 3 months, their charge for JavaScript usage was just a bit too overbearing. E-can Factory has now moved to Weebly.com at the following address:
Just like the title says, I found a new host for this crazy experiment of a website. But it will take a while for me to figure out how to configure the new place to look right as well as how to properly load all the previous articles over, as well as start us off with a new article. To save you guys the trouble of visiting a non-updating site, I'm announcing that I'll reveal the new URL for the relocated and renewed site on July 18th. Hope to see you all again~
Like I said in the last post, it's been a rather busy and stressful week. But come time to work on a post, I ran into quite a dilemma. Yola.com, in a bid to earn it's silver account members which would pay them $100 a year, blocks the use of javascript on their Free service, which is how this site is hosted. The problem with this, I'm frugal, cheap, pooer at the moment and "idealistically outraged".
The most recent post that was going to go up was Java heavy, as I was going to start embedd... Continue reading ...
Been working a lot this week, so I'm a bit behind for the next article~, Fortunately I can post part 2 of Joseph's Game Genie experiment with Rockman X, with more glittery glitchy surprises to come this time around. Be sure to catch PART 1 first if you missed it.
Wait, there's a mystery to Metalman? And it is "mysterious"? Isn't that just being redundant? And why in the world is the avatar art of professional composer Kenichi Maeyamada AKA Fan Remix Extraordinaire Hyadain the first image here? While I'll admit that this seems like a total mess from the start, I guarantee I'm going somewhere with all of this. Hyadain is getting featured in the beginning because it was through one of his musical remix videos that tipped me off to the mystery orig...

One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others By the time I finish my song?
Thinking back to Rockman 3; Dr. Wily's Last Stand, one boss out of the roster of rouges seem out of place. But to understand where I'm coming form, first some background information. The opening plot of Rockman 3 goes along as so:
Dr. Wily has repents on his evil world domination ways and is allow to partner with Dr. R...
A new article posting tomorrow, but in the meantime enjoy this insanity by affiliate and friend Jospeh of Music of the Game, who graciously heeded my whim of a Game Genie run of Rockman X after I had just watched Screwattack's Jared Never used an SNES Game Genie special. Long story short: Beat Rockman X, with super jump, one shot instant kill, and fast charge. With a lot of unexpected surprises along the way.
Just a short notice. Since this week is E3, and everyone (including myself) will be focused on the news and announcements from the event, E-Can Factory will be taking a long week hiatus of updates. See all you on Monday~ Continue reading ...
In review, my working theory of Buster science (with some edits for fluidity and compactness) is as follows:
Rockman's Rock Buster is weapon able to produce solar bullet projectiles contingent there is solar energy in his environment that can be channeled in from the solar panel on his helmet. Thus, it presents the illusion of a weapon of infinite ammunition. This system has no connection to his other energy systems, thus Rockman is able to attack regard...
Save this date, June 9th, 2011. We are less than two weeks away from a grand day for all Rockman Fans, as it is the date of the second annual Rockman Day (ロックマンの日). I'm sure you guys are as excited as I am of the merriment that will be soon be had on this grand holiday!
So what events and activities accompany the traditional celebration of Rockman Day?...There aren't any. What had occurred on June 9th that makes it Rockman Day?...Nothing. How about something that is s...
Look at that Rockman go, he could stand and shoot there all day if he wanted to. Special thanks goes to Inamori Mika for this demonstration.
One of the beauties of Rockman's Rock Buster is that he has what seems to be an endless amount of ammunition. Why is this the case? Well Ockham's razor would tell you that it's a relic of the play mechanic.
Rockman Games are fundamentally run and shoot action platformers. If Rockman were to be able to run out of bullets and can't shoot, pla...
Astro is a prefix originating from the word 'ástron', which means 'of or relating to stars'. So with that, the three floating orbs in his design, the space backdrop of his battle arena, and his ultimate attack "Astro Crush" (which rains large masses from the sky), people naturally say Astroman is fundamentally a space robot. But re-evaluation of his various traits seem to suggest 'Astro' might actually be a misnomer, and that space is not the only thing about this robot.
Since Rockman 2, the skull has been used as Wily Castles' signature feature. Since Rockman 4, the skull has extended it's appearance into his signature super war
mecha, the Wily Machine Series. Later editions of the Wily escape vehicle would also follow suit and incorporate skulls. In Rockman 8's artwork, Dr. Wily even sports a Skull belt buckle. With such a "skull fetish", why isn't Skullman Dr. Wily's main robot and Rockman's rival?
I think Skullman would make a great rival chara...
I'm a bit of a pixel artist, and I use to regularly post stuff onto the net. But it's been a long time since I last had a functional website to post stuff, so not much has been shared for a while. I'll probably start a gallery soon enough with more such sprite work. But for now, just a post to have them up for the public eye, the boss characters of Rockman 9, drawn as if to be put in Rockman 7 for the SFC.
As memory serves me correctly, Inafune Kenji has stated that the original concept for "Rightot" was not his and that he felt that such a character was completely unnecessary. But being tasked to put such a character into the Rockman world, Inafune worked hard revising his design from the ground up to make him as interesting as possible. During this process, Inafune said he relied on "classic" fictional robots from his own childhood in working out Rightot's design, with aim towards a "...
So thus starts what hopes to be a long series of Rockman related products from my brain. I'm still working out the kinks and learning what I can on how to use this Yola.com website thing, so expect stuff to shift around and/or change without notice. And hopefully I can deliver on a better banner as well,...As for what you can expect from this site and such, check out that "About" section.
